Jute, popularly known as the Golden Fibre, is another natural fibre obtained mainly from Corchorus plant family which is native to the Indian subcontinent. Jute rugs are braided jute mattings cut into rug sizes with printed or solid color cotton borders. These rugs feature Boucle or Herring weaves and are available in various sizes with or without latex backing.
